SINKS
Selecting the right style for your sink is another important decision to make when selecting your new bathroom vanity surface. There are many style and function options when choosing the sink that will complement your new counter top surface: materials include stainless steel, cast iron, or composite, and styles include vessel, single bowl, double bowl, farm house, top mount or under mount. REMNANTS
Small projects such as a bathroom vanity or bar top, are ideal for our many remnants stocked in the warehouse. At different times of the year our warehouse in Strathroy will have some left over and odd shaped pieces of natural granite and gorgeous quartz – one of them might be perfect for your project. Once a year, each spring, we gather these all together in our yard and mark them down to clear out our space for new product. The Remnant Yard is outdoors so please be mindful of the weather!
Adding a textured finish to your bathroom vanity countertop is also an option when purchasing a natural granite or quartz countertop surface from Progressive Countertop. A polished surface will create a glossy, reflective finish, while a leathered texture will create a soft, matte finish and a depth you can feel to the touch. To achieve an in-between look, a honed surface adds character without the textured depth of a leathered finish. The edge profile you choose can add subtle or bold character to your space depending on your selection. A simple, traditional look can be achieved with an “ogee” edge, or a bold and natural look with a “chiseled” edge. At Progressive Countertop we have eight standard edge profiles available for granite counter tops, and two upgraded edge profiles also available. A sample of the edge profiles available are shown here, but this is just a guide, and it is best to consult with a designer as some stones work better than others to accommodate certain profiles.
