Fresh Design & Timeless Style – Crowndale™ Quartz by Cambria®
Carol and Peter love their home, and like so many other families, the kitchen is the centre of the action. They have watched their children grow, play and enjoy many meals but after 30 years of use it was time to give the “old” kitchen the update it so needed.
“We had heard about Progressive Countertop from a neighbour whose son had purchased from them and was very pleased. After researching options and pricing of granite and quartz, we made the decision to go with Progressive Countertop and decided on a quartz countertop.” explains Peter.
- 30-year-old kitchen in need of an update
- Refresh but use existing kitchen footprint
- Needed a countertop surface that offered durability and ease of care
- Crowndale™ Quartz by Cambria®
- A bright design with grey-brown tones in the hexagonal tile backsplash, floor and countertop
- Blanco® Silgranit® sink
- Timeless bullnose “Volcanic” edge profile on entire counter
Carol and Peter choose Cambria® Crowndale™ to anchor their new kitchen.“Our colour preference was to include shades of brown. Cambria’s Crowndale, which I understand is a fairly new colour, met our goals. The colour and surface quality are excellent, and this product meets all our expectations. The quartz pattern is far more consistent than the granite samples we looked at,” says Peter. For the edge of the countertop, they chose a a bullnose profile called “volcanic.”
Crowndale is an intriguing combination of warm cream and beige splashes that meld with darker tans to articulate an intriguing design statement. It is available in high gloss or matte finish. Both offer outstanding durability with no need for sealing or polishing. To clean any Cambria natural stone surface, you simply use a soft cotton cloth with warm water, and if needed, a mild soap.
Support and guidance at every turn :
Guiding Carol and Peter through this process was Danielle Heath at Progressive Countertop. Danielle has helped many people navigate a multitude of options available to customers.
“Danielle was very helpful in explaining the different choices and the pros and cons of each. She was very responsive to our emails and there was no pressure sales pitch at all,” adds Peter.
Installation and Education :
When it was time for installation, Peter says Progressive Countertop’s installation crew arrived on time and were very skilled: “Our expectations were met, and the countertop fit perfectly. Lasers (used to measure and template the surfaces) and computer design technology sure helps.”
During the installation, the crew took the time to explain to Carol and Peter how they joined the sections of the countertop together.
“That was very slick,” says Peter. “How they used “J” joints and vacuum tighteners* to install the countertop.” *(also called Gorilla Grips)
Carol and Peter have taken a bright approach to their kitchen design. The grey-brown tones in the hexagonal tile backsplash and floor compliment similar warm tones in the Crowndale design. A made-in-Canada Blanco® Silgranit® sink provides some drama over a typical stainless-steel sink.
