Mike and Julie are proud owners of a brand new home in Lucan, Ontario. After hearing about Progressive Countertop at the London, Ontario Home Show, they stopped by our warehouse in Strathroy to find the perfect countertop to finish off their new home design. Julie knew she wanted granite for the kitchen and she had a cream and black colour scheme in mind.
Welcome home: Silver Supreme Granite
Not to be confused by its name, “Silver Supreme” is an exquisite blend of cream and black: the exact colour combination Julie was looking for. Mixed into the stone’s natural palette are also variations of brown and grey. Besides the stunning light and dark colour contrast, what makes this granite so eye-catching, is its beautiful flowing patterns; the markings and lines that run throughout the stone create movement and immediately draw your eyes in. Julie writes,
“We love the colour, the movement, the interest, the feel and shine on the beautiful surface…It makes the whole room feel ‘high quality’”.
It’s a Work of Art!
The focal point of the room is the spacious kitchen island, topped off in Silver Supreme Granite. The polished finish adds a high-quality shine and captures the natural light from the windows and sliding doors. The combination of colours in this granite perfectly compliments the room’s colour scheme comprised of dark wood cabinetry, silver hardware and appliances and white on the backsplash, the windows and the doors. Every element of the kitchen’s design is reflected in this countertop.
Small details, big impact
You will notice the elegant, curvy edging on the countertop around the sink. Mike and Julie chose the Ogee edge profile. This feature adds another element of design and quality to both countertop and the rest of the room. The modern black, under mount sink is both stylish and functional. Besides the seamless look, an under mount sink allows you to wipe food scraps straight into the sink without catching crumbs and dirt on an exposed rim.
We think Mike and Julie’s open concept kitchen is beautiful, right down to the last detail. We hope they enjoy their new home with friends and family for years to come. Julie writes, “We enjoyed the professional service along with the wide variety of high quality products to chose from… Installation was what we expected: timely and professional…. The service was impeccable. We would highly recommend PC to everyone!”
