London, ON – The Hard Rock Hotel London Ontario opened its doors in Spring 2025, making history as Canada’s first Hard Rock Hotel. It quickly became a must-visit destination for music, culture, and luxury hospitality. Located at 100 Kellogg Lane in London’s East Village, the hotel blends bold design, iconic music memorabilia, and modern amenities to deliver a true celebrity-style, guest experience.
Progressive Countertop is proud to have contributed to this landmark commercial project. Our team supplied and installed premium stone surfaces all throughout the hotel; from the lobby, to restaurants and bar surfaces, guest suites, and more. The Hard Rock Hotel demonstrates how stone surfaces deliver a luxurious, high-end aesthetic, while still offering the durability and easy maintenance needed for busy hospitality environments.

From the lobby to the suites, every stone surface was selected for its beauty, durability, and long-term performance.
Working closely with the Hard Rock Hotel London team, we chose materials that stand up to heavy daily use while complimenting the hotel’s bold, energetic style.
All quartz surfaces installed throughout the hotel are from HanStone Canada and manufactured locally at HanStone’s facility in London, Ontario. Progressive Countertop was proud to help bring Canadian-made quartz into so many key spaces across the property.
When you first arrive, you are greeted by HanStone quartz at the lobby front desk. Calacatta Extra spans both check-in desks. Its bright white tone adds crisp contrast to the lobby’s warm brown and beige palette.
Checking in as a VIP? Calacatta Extra also appears at the VIP check in area, but as a built-in coffee bar crafted entirely from quartz. Full-height cladding and wrapped returns highlight what’s possible with quartz, and the precise detailing you get when you work with Progressive Countertop.
To carry that custom look beyond a single statement surface, we paired Calacatta Extra with HanStone Embrace quartz tabletops. With its soft grey tone, Embrace ties in naturally with the darker finishes in the space, helping the design feel cohesive, elevated, and complete.
In the hotel’s busiest food and beverage zones, HanStone quartz delivers the best of both worlds: a polished, modern look that suits the Hard Rock vibe, plus the durability needed for nonstop service.
At the Lobby Bar, Embrace by HanStone was selected for its contemporary grey tone and its ability to stand up to intensive bar use. These durable quartz worktops support everything from drink prep to continuous wipe downs, helping the bar stay clean and guest ready in one of the hotel’s central social spaces.
In the Sessions Restaurant, HanStone Matterhorn anchors the chef’s pass, where performance matters most. With quartz countertops, this chef’s pass is built to handle constant plating, heat, and traffic without compromising appearance. By running continuous quartz across the full length of the pass, the workspace stays seamless, and easy to maintain, even during peak service.
Tucked behind an unmarked entrance is the 1913 Speakeasy, one of the Hard Rock Hotel’s best kept secrets. Progressive Countertop helped bring the atmosphere to life with surfaces that feel dramatic and refined, while still performing under real world hospitality demands.
At the bar, Spectrum Green Dark granite countertops set the tone with rich depth and natural movement, creating a bold focal point built to handle steady service. In smaller, high use zones like server stations and credenzas, Sahara Noir Extra by Laminam adds a sleek, modern contrast.
In the Rock Star Suite Guest Room, HanStone Calacatta Extra stands out from the moment you walk in and is one of the suite’s most impressive design details. Its bright white base and soft veining bring an immediate high-end look, adding a clean, upscale finish that makes the suite feel more polished, more modern, and more premium overall.
Calacatta Extra was used throughout the suite as kitchen countertops, a waterfall island, backsplash, kitchen tabletop, and custom tabletops, creating a cohesive, elevated feel from one area to the next. The same quartz carries into the master bedroom and bathroom where it compliments luxury finishes, warm wood tones, and polished fixtures. From morning coffee to late night room service, Calacatta Extra delivers a consistent, elevated aesthetic that is built to perform.

🍁 HanStone Quartz
– Canadian-made in London, ON, offering consistent quality and performance. Hanstone was used for many of the hotel surfaces for its strength and hassle-free care. Its manufacturing facility is conveniently located right here in London.
Other brands include Laminam’s large-format ceramic slabs, Silestone by Cosentino– a low-silica mineral surface and Infinity – large-format porcelain slabs.
